The Construction of Nationhood: Ethnicity, Religion and Nationalism;Nations and Nationalism Emerged Long Before the Enlightenment. Clergy Unite Peasants and Landlords in National Consciousness,

Tuesday, November 22, 2016
This book is written to counter the “modernist” interpretation of nations as exemplified by Eric Hobsbawm, Benedict Anderson, and Ernest Geller. The author begins with medieval Europe. However, time and time again, author Adrian Hastings returns to ancient Israel as an example of a nation. (p. 3, 18, 186). >>more...

Jewish racism;British Jewish Scholar Comes Close to Admitting the Jewish Racism in the Talmud. He Also Features Early Jewish Universalism

Tuesday, November 22, 2016
The author is Professor of Rabbinic Judaism at University College London. He identifies himself as an Orthodox Jew. (p. xxii).

In his assiduous analysis of rabbinical literature, author Sacha Stern employs Talmudic sources (Mishna, Tosefta, Yerushalmi, and Bavli), many different Midrashim, and other sources. (pp. xi-xii). As part of my review of this and related works, I have regularly consulted the online Babylonian Talmud (Soncino edition), and have included specific references to it below. All my specific references below are from the Bavli, in CAPS, and from this online source. >>more...

What Hitler Wants;Nazism-From the Start-Imitates Communism in Order to Fight Communism. National Socialism is Indeed a Manifestation of Socialism,

Tuesday, November 22, 2016
This work has the advantage that it precedes WWII and the Holocaust, and so is not colored by these events. It does not spend much time on Nazi anti-Semitism. However, Hitler, in 1928, wrote of confiscating land that had been illegally acquired or which was not being used for the benefit of the community. This was in reference to Jewish Societies that speculated in land. (p. 87). >>more...

Goyim and Jews; Candor About the Ongoing Implications of Talmudic Dual Morality. Jews and Commerce: Unusual Insights

Tuesday, November 22, 2016
This work is mostly about the internal affairs of Jewish communities in Europe. Owing to its exhaustive detail, I focus on a number of items relevant to Jewish-gentile relations. [My review is based on the 1993 hardback edition, by Jacob Katz and Bernard Dov Cooperman.] >>more...

Cultural Insurrections: Essays on Western Civilization, Jewish Influence, and Anti-SemitismJewish Communists Were Jews. Has Unexpected Insights into Polish-Jewish Relations

Tuesday, November 22, 2016
Much of this work overlaps that found in Kevin MacDonald’s earlier books, especially CULTURE OF CRITIQUE and UNDERSTANDING JEWISH INFLUENCE. [Please see all my reviews of MacDonald’s works.] He maintains his view of Jewish-GOYISH conflicts as evolutionarily-driven ones. Towards the end of this book, MacDonald seems to be advocating a mild form of white nationalism. >>more...

A People That Shall Dwell Alone: Judaism as a Group;Jewish Eugenics as the Main Cause of Jewish Intelligence and Jewish Dominance,

Tuesday, November 22, 2016
As with author Kevin MacDonald’s other books, this one is jam-packed with information and supported by hundreds of scholarly sources of information. Whether agreeing with MacDonald or not, the reader will find his works stimulating. [See my reviews of his other books]. >>more...

The Culture of Critique: An Evolutionary Analysis of Jewish Involvement in Twentieth-Century Intellectual and Political Movements

Tuesday, November 22, 2016
By way of introduction, I am an independent thinker, and my review is unlikely to please either the fans or the foes of this book. My position is Judeorealist. This avoids the extremes of anti-Semitism (“Jews are bad people”) and philosemitism (“Jews are just victims, and Jews can do no wrong”). >>more...

The Power and Aims of International JewryAtypical Insights into 1918-Era Jewish Polonophobia. Local Jewish Nonsupport for the New Polish State,

Tuesday, November 22, 2016
The reader who is looking for juicy intrigues, or some kind of sensational new information about Jews (or anyone else), will not find it here. It is difficult to understand why this booklet was once classified: Virtually everything in it is rather mundane, and was readily available from other sources. The brevity of this item further detracts from the matters it raises. For this reason, I include some links to deeper and more recent sources of information >>more...

In Those Nightmarish Days: The Ghetto Reportage of Peretz Opoczynski and Josef Zelkowicz (New Yiddish Library Series)

Tuesday, November 22, 2016
This work features the written works of Peretz Opoczynski (Warsaw ghetto) and Jozef Zelkowicz (Lodz ghetto). Much of the everyday information has been presented before (see the first comment under this review). For this reason, my review devotes considerable attention to the sociology and politics of Poland’s prewar Jews. >>more...
