Jewish Studies and Holocaust Education in Poland: Essays on Past and Current Practice; Some Useful Data. The Rest? All the Standard Judeocentric Pole-Accusing Memes and Inaccurate Information

Wednesday, August 2, 2017
Although this book is free of the strident Polonophobic formulations of many Jewish authors, it consistently repeats the well-worn standard narrative of the innocent victim Jew and the villainous Catholic Pole. It therefore has little to offer beyond an overview of Jewish events in today’s Poland. I have provided a list of books, in the comments section, as corrective for the biases of this book, for the interested reader. >>more...

The Myths of Liberal Zionism; Condemnation of Holocaust Supremacism and of Holocaust Blame-Shifting From Germans Unto Poles

Friday, July 28, 2017
Author Yitzhak Laor has been lauded as one of Israel’s most prominent dissidents and poets. Much of his work focuses on what he considers the injustices of Israel against the Palestinians. There is even censorship in action. For example, Laor comments, “In today’s Israel, it is not that easy to research the atrocities committed by Israeli soldiers in the war of 1948. People have lost their jobs in Israeli universities for less than that.” (p. 57). >>more...

Pharrajimos: The Fate of the Roma During the Holocaust;Judeocentric Holocaust Supremacism: The Same Arguments Used to Marginalize the Poles’ Genocide and the Gypsies' Genocide

Friday, July 28, 2017
This Hungarian-based work, now in the English language, provides interesting perspectives on the PHARRAJIMOS (PORAJMOS), the Nazi-German genocide of the Sinti and Roma peoples during WWII. Editors Barsony and Daroczi belong to one of the original organizers of the Romany civil rights movement in Hungary. One striking feature of this work, which I emphasize in this review, is the recycling of old arguments to justify the supremacy of the Shoah over all other genocides, this time against the Gypsies. I elaborate on this >>more...

Ida (English Subtitled)

Friday, July 28, 2017
This gloomy movie is more than the story of IDA—a prospective Catholic nun who learns that she is of Jewish background. It is also a vehicle for reinforcing pro-Jewish stereotypes about Poles. And I thought that Hollywood (and other western-based film-making outlets) are supposed to be careful about not perpetuating stereotypes. Evidently not—at least when the Polish UNTERMENSCHEN are involved. >>more...

Holocaust Cinema in the Twenty-First Century: Images, Memory, and the Ethics of Representation

Friday, July 28, 2017
This anthology can be of value insofar as it catalogues many Holocaust-related films. We also learn that the promotion of the Holocaust, notably in films, is now very much an international effort. For instance, in 2000-2004, nearly 40 percent of Holocaust movies were multinational endeavors. (Kobrynskyy and Bayer, p. 15). >>more...

Memory and Political Change;Revealing Statement on Jewish-German Reconciliation. Money Talks: Implications for the Holocaust Industry,

Friday, July 28, 2017
This book touches on many different aspects of victimhood. My review focuses exclusively on the Holocaust.

The author has much to say about German guilt after the Shoah. Perhaps without intending to, she draws attention to the stereotype of Jews being vindictive, as well as the reasoning behind the premise that Jews have been soft-peddling German guilt, and commonly shifting the blame for the Holocaust to Christianity and to Poles, because they had been paid off by the Germans. All this started with the Israeli-German Luxemburg Agreement of 1952. It has since become known as the Holocaust Industry, along with its ever-increasing set of “perpetrators” from whom to demand never-ending financial “restitution”. >>more...

"Myśli wolnego Polaka"

Thursday, June 22, 2017
"Kiedy chcecie docenić jak wyglądała, jak kształtowała się polska elita, wystarczy wymienić tylko i wyłącznie głównych działaczy i założycieli Obozu Narodowo Radykalnego w 1934 roku. Same czysto polskie nazwiska: Martini, Fabiani, Goerne, Heinrich, Rosman, no i Bolesław Piasecki. A kim oni byli? Polakami!” >>more...

Krzyz i narod polski

Wednesday, June 21, 2017
>>more...

“Choiceless Choice”

Thursday, June 15, 2017
There are books that become known less for their content, and more for an idea that they had introduced or popularized. This book is one of them. Lawrence L. Langer and his “Choiceless Choice” has become part of Holocaustpeak, thanks in large part to this book. My review exclusively focuses on this >>more...
