Inferno of choices: Poles and holocaust HISTORIC SCHOOL OF JEDWABINYSTYC THOUGHT (1): IT GOVERNS AND PUBLISHES

Friday, August 24, 2012
It’s totally unprecedented and never found in the ancient of present diplomacy that Official part of the government” Ministry of foreign affairs is distributing the writing exposing marginal behavior (socialy condemned) of few handed, or a few thousands its disgruntled citizens (it’s difficult to be established if they were Jewish, polish, or germen origin- like letters “Dear Mr. Gestapo”). >>more...

The Jews in Polish Culture / Aleksander Hertz ; Translated by Richard Lourie ; Editor, Lucjan Dobroszycki ; with a Foreword by Czeslaw Milosz (Hardcover)

Tuesday, January 10, 2012
This is a "meaty" book. Its vintage (1961) may be advantageous in terms of a unique perspective that preceded political correctness.

Jewish "apartheid" did not reduce to a simple dialectic: "Anti-Semites have heaped the entire responsibility for the caste organization onto the Jews; the Jews and their non-Jewish defenders, onto the Christian environment." (p. 63). Early pro-assimilationist Polish Jews had the following opinion: "Czynski the Frankist and Hollaenderski and Lubliner, who kept their old religion, all shared the view that Polish Jews were `sunk in superstition' and were thereby alienated from Polish life, economically unproductive, and deficient in civic virtue. The source of the problem was ignorance, superstition, the Talmud, the rule of the rabbis." (p. 22). Early assimilated Polish Jews were ennobled. (p. 64). >>more...

Jewish separatism and human progress

Thursday, November 10, 2011
SEPARATYZM ZYDOW...(JEWISH SEPARATISM...) is the title of this Polish-language booklet. Originally published as an article in a Warsaw publication in 1909, it came out before the intensification of Polish-Jewish conflicts caused by the 1912 Jewish vote for a pro-Russian candidate to the Duma (Russian parliament), which amounted to a direct attack on Polish national aspirations, and which provoked the Dmowski-led retaliatory boycott of Jews. >>more...

Vom Generalplan Ost Zum Generalsiedlungsplan: Dokumente (Einzelveraffentlichungen der Historischen Kommission Zu Berl)

Sunday, August 28, 2011
My review is based on the article: GENERALPLAN OST, published by historian Czeslaw Madajczyk in the 1962 issue of POLISH-WESTERN AFFAIRS, Volume 3, Number 2, pp. 390-442. The entire GENERALPLAN OST is reproduced in German (pp. 401-442). The remainder of the article is an English-language analysis, by Madajczyk, of GENERALPLAN OST >>more...

THE NEW POLAND

Sunday, August 28, 2011
This short book was clearly written by a Communist or Communist sympathizer. Standard Communist rhetoric is used (e. g., those in opposition to the New Order in Poland are reactionaries, fascists, wealthy landowners, etc.), the prewar Polish government is bad-mouthed as one consisting of dictators, and General Wladyslaw Anders is viciously slandered. The author presents a rosy view of the new government, and writes favorably of his interviews with the likes of Bierut and Minc. Of course, this work was written before the sham elections of January 1947, which ended the "provisional government" and officially brought the Communists to power. >>more...

With Great Sacrifice and Bravery

Sunday, August 28, 2011
This book is different from most other ones on the Battle of Britain in several respects. To begin with, it views the Battle through the experiences of one man (Lapkowski), devoting two chapters to this battle. It does not stop there. It continues describing Allied missions into German-held Europe into mid-1941, overlapping the start of the Germans' attack on their erstwhile Soviet ally. >>more...

Polish Guerrilla Action in Great Detail. Clarifies Polish Acquisitions of Post-Jewish Property,

Sunday, August 28, 2011
Ironic to the fact that the author was eager to join the 1939 Polish Army, and became a brave guerrilla fighter, his last name means "crybaby" in Polish. It also means "anointed forest" in old Polish. (p. 5). This book is one of the most detailed English-language books on Polish guerrilla warfare that I have read, and I have read quite a few of them. (See the Peczkis Listmania: GUERRILLA WARFARE...). >>more...

Jews killed Jews to create the state of Israel

Monday, June 6, 2011
The statement that: “Jews killed Jews to create the state of Israel” was made by Naeim Giladi, author of the book: “Ben-Gurion’s Scandals: How The Haganah and Mossad Eliminated Jews,” (Dandelion Books, LLC, Tempe Arizona, 2nd expanded edition 2003). Giladi wrote this book first in Hebrew and then in Arabic upon arrival to the US where he confirmed as an eye witness the facts concerning the Zionist bombings in Iraq, the rejection by Isarel of Arab peace overtures and the deadly violence inflicted by Jews on Jews in the cause of creating Israel. Stalin’s intended Israel to be a “bone of contention” in the Middle East. Some observers mention the possibility that Stalin also hoped to create Isarel as a Marxist state, part of the Soviet postwar empire.  >>more...

"Polish concenttration camps"Literature & Thought: Voices of the Holocaust

Saturday, May 21, 2011
My review is from the viewpoint of a professional educator. This book is used in the elementary public school, and, for this reason, it should exhibit the highest standard of factuality and objectivity. It is therefore unfortunate that the author uses the phrase "Polish concentration camp". (p. 65). >>more...

Treblinka survivor

Wednesday, April 6, 2011
This work contains much detail about the Treblinka Death Camp. It is semi-biographical, focusing on Hersh Sperling (Szperling), who escaped from Treblinka but committed suicide a few decades later. Owing to the breadth of its content, I focus on only a few issues.

The Treblinka prisoners' revolt is, in my opinion, better described than in most other books on Treblinka. It even features a map (p. 135) that traces the course of revolt. The revolt was hindered by the presence of Jewish informers among the kapos, including Kuba and Paulinka (or Perla). (p. 130, 133). >>more...
