Birkat haMinim: Jews and Christians in Conflict in the Ancient World (Texts and Studies in Ancient Judaism

Tuesday, January 24, 2017
The core of BIRKAT HAMINIM derives from the Babylonian Talmud (Berakhot 28b-29a). (p. 2). It was written in the Yavneh period, after the Second Temple, and was presented as a BARAITA, which included the obligation to say it as a whole, and without any mistake. This, in turn, implied that it had a special status. (p. 3) >>more...

THE INTERNAL SECURITY CORPS AND THE "CURSED SOLDIERS"

Tuesday, January 24, 2017
THE INTERNAL SECURITY CORPS AND THE "CURSED SOLDIERS" is the title of this Polish-language work. However, it is about more than the Communist security forces and their repression of the Polish freedom-fighting guerrillas (ZOLNIERZE WYKLECI). It includes much politics, and has a comprehensive index of names that are mentioned. Owing to the large number of topics presented, I discuss only a few of them. >>more...

Les Derniers Jours des Romanov - le Complot Germano-Bolchevique - Robert Wilton

Tuesday, January 24, 2017
Why bring this matter up? Jews frequently call on Poles to “face up to dark chapters in their history” and to “come to terms with the past”, and that over comparative trivialities as the Kielce Pogrom and the Jedwabne Massacre. Therefore, Jews should be kept to the same standard that they impose upon others. This includes focus on the undeniable and heinous crimes of the ZYDOKOMUNA (Judeo-Bolshevism), which eventually cost the lives of tens of millions of people. >>more...

The Construction of European Holocaust Memory: German and Polish Cinema after 1989Effectively--Though Subtly--Puts Poles and Nazi Germans on the Same Side

Sunday, January 15, 2017
Author Malgorzata Pakier introduces her book as follows, “In recent years, commemoration of the Holocaust has become a major political, cultural, and educational issue for the European Union…There is no other historical event to which European institutions have demonstrated any comparable deep commitment. It is manifest in such initiatives as the European Parliament’s ‘Resolution on Remembrance of the Holocaust, Antisemitism, and Racism’ approved on January 27, 2005, the sixtieth anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, and in the adoption of legislation criminalizing denial of the Holocaust at the level of the European Union under the German presidency in April 2007. The European Union has also played a key role in setting up the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, launched on the occasion of the International Forum on the Holocaust, which took place in Stockholm in 2000.” (p. 9). >>more...

IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF JEDWABNE;Contrary to the Media Narrative, This IPN Investigation Did Not "Prove Jan T. Gross Right" On Polish Guilt at Jedwabne,

Sunday, January 15, 2017
IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF JEDWABNE is the English-language translation of WOKOL JEDWABNEGO. I review these two volumes because the results of Poland's IPN (Institute of National Remembrance) investigation have been widely misrepresented and iconized by the media.

Owing to the breadth of the content of these volumes, I focus specifically on the barn burning of Jews, and on questions regarding the credibility of the outcomes of court cases early in Communist rule over Poland. Because so much has already been written about Jedwabne, I strive to draw my own conclusions instead of repeating those of others.

WHAT JAN T. GROSS CLAIMED

In his NEIGHBORS, neo-Stalinist Jan T. Gross had asserted that Poles, acting freely and alone, and with the Germans present only as spectators and photographers, herded the Jews of Jedwabne into a barn and burned them alive. (This is crucial. Gross has tried to backpedal a bit from his original statements.)

WHAT THE IPN INVESTIGATION ACTUALLY FOUND

The fact that the IPN did NOT "prove Gross correct" is evident from the following English-language summary statement by investigator Pawel Machcewicz, (quote) Another controversy surrounds the role of the Germans who were present at Jedwabne on July 10, 1941 >>more...

The Rulers of Russia;Jews in Communism as a Fulfillment of Secularized Jewish Messianism. Insights on Freemasonry,

Sunday, January 15, 2017
The author was an Irish Catholic priest. Whether in agreement with the author or not, the reader may be impressed by the vibrancy of his writing, and the way it contrasts with the mush that characterizes most Catholic writings today. (My review is based on the original 1940 edition).

Why bring up Jews in Communism? For one thing, there is a tendency to airbrush this uncomfortable fact out of history. In addition, Jews commonly call on Poles to "face up to the dark chapters in their history" and to "come to terms with the past" for relatively trivial Polish wrongs to Jews. By the same standard, then, Jews should be called upon to "face up to the dark chapters in their history" and to "come to terms with the past" for their essential role in Communism and all its crimes. >>more...

Why the Jews?: The Reason for Antisemitism; The Moral/Cultural Nihilism of Many Influential Jews: Weimar Germany, USA, etc. Implications of Polonophobia,

Sunday, January 15, 2017
This work is a curious mixture of the very astute and the very superficial. I focus on a few major issues.

BLAMING JEWS COLLECTIVELY?

A major theme of Prager’s book is the one about Jews as a whole being unfairly blamed for the actions of a small number of Jews who committed misdeeds (e. g., Jewish Communists). But, unfortunately, that is exactly what Jews commonly do to others. For instance, Jews regularly call on Poles to “face up to the dark chapters of their history”, to “come to terms with the past”, and even to “give up the heroic narrative of Poles fighting the Nazis”---all just because some tiny fraction of 1% of Poles collaborated with the Nazis against Jews. So, if Poles are to be saddled with some form of collective responsibility, or collective accountability, for the misdeeds of a small number of their members, so also should Jews. Either that, or we have a clear double standard. >>more...

Fascism and Communism (European Horizons;Ernst Nolte Is a Non-Judeocompliant Scholar, But is NOT Trying to Lessen the Crimes of Nazism

Sunday, January 15, 2017
By way of introduction, German historian Ernst Nolte has gotten a lot of flak, from the Judeocentric academics, for pointing out that Nazism had been a competitive imitation of Soviet Communism. They do not like it when the genocides of non-Jews are featured, especially in juxtaposition with the Shoah, because this threatens the supremacy of the Holocaust over the genocides of all other peoples. >>more...
