POLITYCY… A PIENIĄDZE

Sunday, January 24, 2010
>>more...

Trouble with reality: Having your own home-thought-blessing, or curse?

Monday, January 18, 2010
During the presidency of Busch, one of the factors of social stability would be to have your own home by the largest part of American society. And while the building industry was driving the economy, almost 23-25%, instead of just 13-percent share preferred by economists. With political goals in mind, the Bush’s Administration was fueling the economies of the U.S. in this way wanted to cover up, and sometimes replace the export of the production outside the U.S. as consumer goods, as well as industrial ones >>more...

Raport o zabieraniu domów w USA

Monday, January 18, 2010
>>more...

“2 Million German Expellee Dead in Poland” Off by a Factor of 100

Saturday, January 16, 2010
THE REVENGE OF THE VICTIMS: GERMANS IN POLISH CAMPS 1944-1950, is the title of this book, whose author is a German (p. 199) and whose own father was a German expellee. (p. 5). The title is misleading, as the perpetrators were not random Poles but Polish Communists and Jewish Communists. In fact, the Soviet-imposed Communist authorities, well aware of their own unpopularity, commonly fanned hatred of Germans for political purposes (p. 93-94). (See also the Afterword, by Andrzej Paczkowski: p. 198). >>more...

The nature and future of communism

Thursday, January 14, 2010
Remarks delivered at a conference on "Captive Nations: Past, Present-and Future?" at the Heritage Foundation on July 22, 2009 Human drive for equality will always be with us. Communism is one of its most rabid manifestations. Therefore its promise will endure, albeit in ever-changing forms. Let us look at the definition, ideology, typology, practice, and phases of Communism. What is Communism? Firstly, it is an ideology derived from Gnosticism. Gnosis is secret knowledge allegedly possessed by the chosen few who aim to herd the unenlightened human chattel to paradise through a revolution. Communism promised an earthly paradise. Marx was a classic Gnostic for he believed that he had a teleological key to the mystery of past, present, and future which would lead to the secular utopia. >>more...

Agent Bolek

Wednesday, January 13, 2010
Three important books have recently been published about Lech Wałęsa, world famous “Solidarity” leader and, later, President of Poland. Paweł Zyzak’s impishly shocking Lech Wałęsa - idea i historia. Biografia polityczna legendarnego przywódcy "Solidarności" do 1988 roku [Lech Wałęsa: Ideology and history: A political biography of the legendary leader of „Solidarity” until 1988] (Cracow: Arcana, 2009) is an irreverent attempt to demolish the legend. >>more...

Speeches of Adolf Hitler: Representative Passages from the Early Speeches, 1922-1924, and Other Selections

Sunday, January 10, 2010
This outstanding resource for scholars consists of two volumes with a common pagination, making it 1,980 pages long. Each speech of Hitler is profusely cross-referenced in an extensive index, so that the researcher can find what Hitler said about just about every imaginable topic. There are also scholarly articles and books for further study. Because they, and the book itself, predate WWII, they are not colored by it. Owing to the breadth of this work, I only touch on a few issues raised by Hitler. [Of course, analyzing Hitler in no way implies agreement with him or admiration for him, and my five-star rating is for the historical value.] >>more...

Źródła przemocy w rodzinie

Zdrajcy Narodu?: Losy Volksdeutschow W Polsce Po II Wojnie Swiatowej (Polish Edition)

Sunday, January 3, 2010
TRAITORS TO THE NATION? THE FATE OF THE VOLKSDEUTSCHEN AFTER WORLD WAR II is the title of this Polish-language book. The Volksdeutsche have been misrepresented, in certain Holocaust circles, as Poles allowed to become Germans--in effect a Nazi favor to Poles. Far from it! To begin with, Hitler defined Poles and Germans racially, rejecting the notion that a Pole could ever become a German, notwithstanding linguistic and cultural Germanization. >>more...

The sold out dream: Memoirs of a Polish freedom fighter

Sunday, January 3, 2010
The title of this comprehensive English-language book refers to the selling out of Poland's dream of independence and freedom by Roosevelt and Churchill at Teheran and Yalta. The promised free elections had been a farce all along, as they were not subject to international supervision and control. (p. 225). >>more...
